Statement as of 03:14 AM EST am 08. November 2009 ... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am EST this morning... The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 9 am EST this morning. Widespread dense fog will continue to reduce visibilities to less than a quarter mile. The fog will slowly lift between 8 am and 9 am... allowing a steady improvement in the visibilities. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Statement as of 03:45 AM EST am 08. November 2009 ... Dense fog advisory in effect... Dense fog will persist through 8 am... then it will slowly lift. Until then... visibilities will be near zero at times. Motorists should slow down and allow plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
