Overall... temperatures averaged above normal over central and southwest Montana in November... up to 8 degrees above normal. Bozeman and Dillon had a smaller positive departure... somewhat due to mid-month snowfall that remained on the ground for the remainder of the month.
Precipitation was mostly below normal. A swath from the southwest to the snowys had a positive departure. For the autumn... Cut Bank has come up driest... ranking 6th driest of record. At Great Falls... it was the driest November since 1954... while at Havre it was the driest since 1969.
Winds continued to be lighter than the long-term average in many areas. Bozeman had their 8th calmest November of record... while at Cut Bank and Great Falls it was the windiest November since 1989. Also... at Cut Bank... it was the 8th windiest November of record.
