The wind was just strong enough to move the directional vane, but not strong enough to register a speed. N.O.A.A. got the predominant weather correct we had no precipitation overnight. At 05:00 hours, when I went out with Bart, the rosy-fingered dawn was beginning to climb over the eastern horizon.
N.O.A.A. predicts that we will not have any precipitation today, but for tonight, all bets are off. They do not see the cloud cover increasing to more than 33% during the day (9%/13%/18%/33%). The predicted high temperature is expected to be close to the freezing mark.
My weather Stick points up, and while not as dramatically as yesterday afternoon with 33% relative humidity, it is still indicating low relative humidity (64%). The electronic instruments are getting closer together with their predictions. Two of them predict fair skies today with rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts improving barometric pressure with partly cloudy skies. I would suggest that this would be a good day to make sure there is nothing in the dooryard to disturb the snowblowers tomorrow when the prognosticators are saying we will have another significant snowstorm. Therefore, mild temperatures, light winds, steady barometric pressure and no precipitation are what I suggest we will have today.
