Scattered showers and thunderstorms will cover the western and southern parts of Mexico on Friday. Most of these storms will develop in the afternoon. Meanwhile, an area of low pressure currently located over the Pacific off of the western coast of Mexico will likely develop into a tropical depression by Friday. However, the storm will move to the west or northwest away from land. Central America can expect heavy rain and thunderstorms due to a tropical wave that will move through the region. The tropical wave will extend to Cuba, providing the country with a few scattered showers and storms. Another tropical wave moving through the Caribbean will bring some storms to the Greater Antilles, while the Lesser Antilles will see mostly pleasant conditions, with the exception of a few scattered showers possible.
