Weather Underground Forecast for Thursday, May 15, 2008.

In southern South America, a frontal system is expected to cut through central Chile and Argentina and become nearly stationary Thursday. This will result in continued light to moderate precipitation along the front, with heavier amounts in central Chile. In addition, moist onshore flow will keep scattered precipitation going in the far southern tip of the continent. Expect precipitation rates and coverage to increase late Thursday and Friday morning as a low pressure system pushes through the region.

Farther north, isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected in Paraguay and Bolivia. Apart from that, typical daily thunderstorms will continue across much of the northern South America.

Dry and mild weather is expected across northern Argentina and Chile as well as Uraguay and far southeastern Brazil Thursday as a ridge of high pressure holds in place.
