So you are the person who took this photo. It is one of my favorites. I have saved it, and enjoy returning to look longingly at it once in a while. I would love to visit this beautiful part of the world.

Yes, it's beautiful indeed...I've managed to visit the Glacier Nat'l Park portion in the US and it's no slouch either as far as beauty is concerned.

There have been an increasing number of recommendations to include the Waterton lakes in the park area. This has been done mainly to ensure conservation. The park gets its name from the lakes. The chain of lakes was named by Lieutenant Blakiston in honor of British naturalist, Squire Charles Waterton. http://www.wildlifeworld360.com

Waterton National Park is quiet uncrowded. It is a perfect place to have a view of the spectacular scenery, wildlife and enjoy outstanding recreational opportunities. The uniqueness of this park is the blend of unusual geology, mild climate, rare wild flowers, and abundance of wildlife. World is changing by time but the beauty of the waterton national park has remained unchanged for centuries. The Wilderness experience in Waterton Lakes National Park is one of the best in the world. The spectacular unspoiled wilderness of Waterton Park offers users superb opportunities for solitude, personal and physical challenge, freedom and adventure.

About Darby
Darby I live and work in the Edmonton area of Alberta. Most of my work in the last 30 years has been in the field of graphic arts and photo reproduction. I'm no stranger to large cameras. In years past I worked on a large overhead Brown Admiral repro camera with a 750mm apo-Nikor lens and a film format of 60" x 96". I've also worked with the latest drum scanners from Crosfield and Fuji. I currently live on an acreage near Stony Plain , Alberta. My other hobbies include backyard astronomy, flyfishing, canoeing and gardening, specializing in growing giant pumpkins and sunflowers. To view many of my photos in high resolution, go to my PBASE Gallery: http://www.pbase.com/darby2 May 17, 2005: I just acquired a Digital Camera....Panasonic FZ 20 with a 12x Leica optical zoom lens...absolutely fabulous.
