Got lucky and this flashed at the exact instant I took a picure. It's happened before but I've never had one centered in my photograph before by accident.

Some day I'll be that lucky! Great shot. Don't worry about your subject being centered. There are always exceptions, but better composition usually is attained when things are NOT centered. Google photography composition or rule of thirds. Use the info you find as a guideline. Every rule can be broken and sometimes a particular subject screams to be centered, but in general these types of subjects are few and far between. This is especially true when shooting landscapes of lakes or oceans or just land and sky. Rarely should the frame be divided horizontally at the center of the photo. Either more sky or more water, NOT half and half. Some of today's uploads could have been cropped much better. The rule of thirds is a pretty good guide to live by.

weatherfanatic2010 My name is Dylan and I'm 19. I live in a little town called Bowie, Texas. I've just recently started getting into photography. I used a point and shoot for years but finaly upgraded to a Canon Rebel XS. I really have no clue what I'm doing or what makes 'the perfect picture', so I just take pictures of things I think look cool. I don't have allot of time to take photos because of my hectic college schedule(my goal is a degree in meteorology). My passion for the weather on a scale of 1 - 10 is about a 12.5. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures as much as I enjoy getting out and taking them :)(:
